What is Artists in the Park?

On Saturday, September 12th from 10 am to 3pm, local artists will be safely gathering at Sioux Narrows Provincial Park on Highway 71 for Artists in the Park, a show and sale of handmade items.

Artists will be spread out at campsites along a 1.2 km route. This event will give artists the opportunity to reconnect with a new audience in a spacious outdoor environment.

Hand sanitizer and hand wash stations are on site and masks are required when in close contact with others. Signs will display social distancing regulations and lead visitors along a one-way road featuring regional artists. Attendees are required to bring their own food and drinks.

This art show is welcome because the Sioux Narrows Arts Festival was sadly cancelled this year. Artists rely on summer shows for revenue and new commissions. And a stroll through the woods enjoying art is a wonderful way to lift everyones’ spirits.

Admission is by donation and funds raised will go towards next years’ 60th Anniversary Arts Festival. Rain date is Sunday September 13th.
