NEWS UPDATE November 30, 2025
Our tree was purchased by Northern Harbour for a whopping bid of $850. It has been generously donated back to the Sioux Narrows Community Centre where the residents will enjoy its beauty and books for the 2025 holiday season festivities. Thank you to Gary Hall and family of Northern Harbour for making this  Christmas wish come true.

             PEACE ON EARTH

A charitable Christmas tree made in support of  the Kenora Lake of the Woods Community Foundation has been placed in the Sioux Narrows Community Hall. Named PEACE ON EARTH, the tree has been thoughtfully decorated with handmade ornaments created by residents of all ages in the Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls. Ornaments were inspired by Christmas stories, including Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem by Maya Angelou and Peace on Earth: Christmas Collection by Mary Englebreit.
Thank you to all of the community groups that supported this project and to the Community  Foundation for supporting the Arts Council's free concerts and music programs.
We wish everyone a festive and happy holiday season.

The Annual Sioux Narrows Arts Festival is the sparkle of the summer:

For over 60 years, the Sioux Narrows Arts Festival has breathed inspiration, creativity and imagination into the lives of all those who have entered its doors. Located in a majestic setting surrounded by clear, deep blue water on the eastern shores of Lake of the Woods, the festival attracts artists from across Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba and the United States.

The Arts Festival provides a chance for artists of all ages to showcase and share their creations with both artists and art lovers alike. With engaging activities provided for kids and musical gigs featuring local talent, the Sioux Narrows Arts Festival is an event that simply cannot be missed. Every year the festival is made possible by the dedication and hard work of volunteers who understand just how important and special this event is for both artists and attendees. On the August long weekend, be sure to take the scenic drive down the Kings Highway (Highway 71) and just beyond the bridge, you will immediately recognize how unique this gem of a festival truly is. The Arts Festival not only creates a buzz of excitement within the community, but it also offers an opportunity for all of us to explore and celebrate our inner artist.
