AND THE DEFENDERS SUNDAY AUGUST 2nd @ 2PM Lead singer Alex Call is the songwriter of several Billboard Hot 100 top twenty hits, has made five major label albums and has toured with or opened for everyone from Thin Lizzy and Lynyrd Skynyrd to Fleetwood Mac, Credence Clearwater Revival, Steve Miller, Huey Lewis & The News, and Merle Haggard. |

Alex has has put together a five-piece band of seasoned professionals – Darcy Ura
on bass, Lorry Alcock on lead guitar, Donald Wilson on keyboards, and Perry Hopkins on drums - Alex Call & the DeFenders. The DeFenders are a high- energy but not excessively loud rock band playing Alex’s strong, hooky original songs including his famous radio hits and his other hits that didn’t happen to make it to radio. Fans of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Huey Lewis, The Pretenders and The Eagles are going to like The DeFenders.
